Salesforce: some quick intro

caleksiev

Customer Relationship Management (or CRM for short) is often referred to a CRM system, which companies use for building customer relationships, increase sales, interact with customers, after sales processes, customer services and so much more.

Simply put, CRM systems are here to help you grow your business, achieve your goals faster, easier, and improve client’s satisfaction.

The purpose of my blog is to write about Salesforce and why is it so awesome, so I will not cover any topics about other CRM systems, but just to mention, there are quite a few other.

“Hey, Tsenko, why is Salesforce so special and why aren’t you going to tell me something about other CRM’s?” you might ask. Well, first of all, I LOVE SALESFORCE and second because is the #1 CRM System in the world! Here are some details:

Salesforce was founded in 1999 by Marc Benioff (Marc Benioff on wikipedia), former Oracle’s Vice President, who by the way, earned that title at 26 years old. Not going to go into the details, but by the time of this writing, Salesforce has several CRM technologies, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud and Platform also is the owner of Slack, Mulesoft, Tableu Analytics and my most favorite Trailhead (keep calm, we’ll get there). If you are interested in numbers to 2022:

- Employees: over 75,000 all over the world

- Revenue: $26.49 billion

- Over 150,000 companies across various industries are using it for day-to-day work. Just to mention a few, you might of heard of them: Mercedes, Coca-Cola, IBM, AT&T, Adidas, Activision, AWS, EA Games, Financial Times, Philips and hundreds more

… oh, did I mentioned that Salesforce is ranked #1 based on IDC 2021 Revenue Market Share Worldwide:

It sounds impressive to me. But wait, there is much more. Salesforce is a major charity player and has even a free 10 subscriptions for non – profits (Salesforce non-profit), they intend to, let me copy – paste this “our goal to support and mobilize the conservation, restoration, and growth of 100 million trees by the end of 2030” and you can track their progress here Trees Salesforce. This is a more detailed article about the project Salesforce partners with plant for the planet to spotlight global reforestation projects and track progress towards 100 million tree goal.

Again, WAIT, there is more! A new study from September 2021 shows that Salesforce Economy will create, stay with me, more than 9.3 MILLION jobs by 2026! You can check more on this here Salesforce new jobs by 2026.

And there is still more! This kind of demand will need many professionals, so my favorite part of the entire eco-system of Salesforce is Trailhead, a completely free education and upskilling program, designed by Salesforce itself! The only thing you need to do is go to Trailhead, create a free account and start learning valuable skills for the future for FREE! In a different article I intend to go more deeply into Trailhead and the paths that are available to you, the certification programs and all the other stuff that are worth mentioning.

If everything so far did sounded convincing enough, go check Salesforce’s website, create an account on Trailhead and get blazing!
